Facilities

The observatory and studio have been purposefully designed to accommodate artists, writers, and researchers. The observatory is a cozy, well-lit 11m² single room with a generous view, suitable for sleeping, studying, and relaxation. The studio, covering 23m² in the barn, offers a similarly splendid view and is ideal for work.

The entire area strictly prohibits smoking, and we regretfully cannot accommodate pets in the observatory, garden, or studio. We cherish our resident chickens, hedgehogs, frogs, toads, and slow worms, and we must consider the possibility of future guests with allergies.

Your Stay Includes

While we do not provide meals, you have the option to order freshly baked artisanal sourdough bread and eggs from our hens. Once or twice a week, we extend an invitation to our dinner table. Basic cooking facilities are available for your use. Bed sheets, bath towels, and kitchen towels are included.

Internet and Mobile Signal

The Studio has a stable satellite internet connection. Please be aware that mobile signal reception in the area can be unreliable.

Arrival and Transport

If necessary, we can arrange to pick you up from Fionnphort, which is the final stop for the bus from Craignure. We are also happy to drop you off in Fionnphort on the day of your departure. Public transport options in the area are limited.

Pricing

Our primary aim is to support the arts, and we do not charge commercial rates. We strive to make things feasible while also ensuring the sustainability of our residency. Prior to making arrangements with us, please review the accommodation details, our terms and conditions, and FAQs to ensure that your stay aligns with your expectations

Payments

We do not have a chip and pin terminal, but you can make payments in cash or via online transfer.
