Booking

The observatory and the studio are purpose-designed for artists, writers and researchers. The observatory is a warm and light 11m2 single room with a grant view, to sleep, study and relax in. The studio (23m2) in the barn has a great view too and is built for working.

The entire vicinity is very strictly no smoking and pets are not allowed in the observatory nor in our garden or studio. We cherish our chickens, hedgehogs, frogs, toads and slow worms, and we have to anticipate future guests with possible allergies.

Pricing

The observatory and studio cannot be booked separately. For information about renting our accommodation please contact us. A minimum stay of two weeks is required.

Your stay includes

We don’t serve food but you can order freshly baked artisanal sourdough bread, eggs from our hens and home cooked (frozen) meals with us. There are basic cooking facilities for you to use. Bed sheets, bath - and kitchen towels are included. At the moment there is no bathroom as we cannot share ours with our guests due to the Covid restrictions. We work on an out door shower.

Internet

At the moment there is no internet connection and the mobile signal in the area if often unreliable.

Arrival and transport

If necessary, we can pick you up from Fionnphort where the bus from Craignure has its final destination. We can also drop you off there on the day of your departure. Public transport is limited in the area so we do recommend for you to come by car.

Payments

We don’t have a chip and pin terminal but payments can be done cash or via online transfer.
